How to schedule Facebook Posts
As timing can be crucial for the success of a post, the ablilty to schedule Facebook posts can be a lifesaver.
The reason it is more favourable to do this on Facebook, than via a dashboard such as Hootsuite, is that Facebook algorithms prefer content that comes from Facebook over a third party source.
Here is a quick ‘How to’ guide:
1. Write your update, add links or pictures as you normally would do, but instead of hitting ‘Share Now’, click on the little down arrow in the Share Now box above (as below).
2. This will then give you drop down options – select schedule. This will now give you a box where you can select a date and time for publication (and also an option to stop distribution of the post is time sensitive).
3. Once you have selected all your options click ‘Schedule’ and you’ve done it! Your post will now go out at the date and time you selected.
